How We Work
Vehicles
We use bicycles for 99% of our deliveries - we push the limits of what can be done by bike, riding between places such as Seattle and Bellevue almost every day. We even use bikes with trailers for heavier or larger packages. For those few orders we take which are too heavy or going to far do be done in time by a bicycle, we use hybrid gas/electric cars. On rare occasions we also send light freight using trucks.Web Interface
Account Management
We have developed our own customized system which allows our customers to place orders through this website and view their shipments information.
This means that our customers can find out at any moment:
- The status of their shipments - in most cases their package's exact location via GPS.
- Our exact rates for any given delivery including extra charges for weight and size.
- All address, contact, size, weight & dimension information included in each order.
GPS Tracking
The Nextel phones we use to instantly communicate with each other are also equipped with GPS tracking software, which we have integrated into our online ordering system. With this integration we can show our customers their shipments exact location in real-time as it is being delivered.
GPS tracking of our vehicles gives us the most accurate and timely information possible in knowing where our shipments are at any given moment. It also helps us to remain aware of each other's location - giving us an accurate picture of our coverage.
